Cane of Destruction

Brew­ing locally in Fred­er­icks­burg, there’s seems to be a melt­ing pot of tal­ent wait­ing to be tapped into. One of the con­sis­tent lead­ers of this group would be local rap­per Cane. A recent grad­u­ate of VMI, burst onto the scene about 2–3 years ago and has been a force ever since. There aren’t too con­ver­sa­tions about local lyri­cists that go on with­out his name being men­tioned. He threw a lis­ten­ing party for his upcom­ing album at Sports Zone a cou­ple weeks ago and Kar­mal­ifee was in atten­dance. One quick lis­ten to the sounds and words com­ing through the speak­ers made it known to the crowd that this project was no ama­teur record­ing. His deliv­ery, dic­tion and stage pres­ence were impec­ca­ble. He changed tempo with the beat, and some­times off beat to give those who lis­ten­ing for the first time a full pic­ture of his lyri­cal prowess. Even the pro­duc­tion on the album deserves men­tion, his pro­ducer, Louburna dis­played a reper­toire of diverse, infec­tious, fine-tuned and well-made beats that made it’s own impres­sion on those who paid atten­tion. The event in all-in-all was a suc­cess, the room was filled with peo­ple. Every one enjoyed them­selves and net­work­ing con­nec­tions were made left and right. Folks even came from Wood­bridge and Rich­mond to par­take in the fes­tiv­i­ties. There was def­i­nitely an immense col­lec­tion of tal­ent in the room, from pho­tog­ra­phers to musi­cians and other cloth­ing lines. Kar­mal­ifee is def­i­nitely proud to call those involved with the event and oth­ers present in the room spec­tact­ing, mem­bers of our peer circle.
